An electricity meter, electric meter, electrical meter, or energy meter is a device that measures the amount of electric energy consumed by a residence, a business, or an electrically powered device.
Electric utilities use electric meters installed at customers' premises to measure electric energy delivered to their customers for billing purposes. They are typically calibrated in billing units, the most common one being the kilowatt hour [kWh]. They are usually read once each billing period.
When energy savings during certain periods are desired, some meters may measure demand, the maximum use of power in some interval. "Time of day" metering allows electric rates to be changed during a day, to record usage during peak high-cost periods and off-peak, lower-cost, periods. Also, in some areas meters have relays for demand response load shedding during peak load periods.

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is a common thermoplastic polymer. Its transition temperature of glass is about 105 °C (221 °F). So, it has no true melting point and ABS is amorphous.
ABS is a terpolymer made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene. The polybutadiene is a rubbery substance that provides toughness even at low temperatures. ABS can be used between −20 and 80 °C (−4 and 176 °F) as its mechanical properties change with temperature for the various of applications. The properties are created by rubber toughening, where fine particles of elastomer are distributed throughout the rigid matrix. The most important mechanical properties of ABS are impact resistance and toughness. It can be modified that made to improve impact resistance, toughness, and heat resistance. Impact resistance does not fall off rapidly at lower temperatures. Stability under load is excellent with limited loads. Two major categories could be ABS for extrusion and ABS for injection mould, then high and medium impact resistance. Generally ABS would have useful features within a temperature range from −20 to 80°C(−4to 176 °F).
